WHO AM I
I am Delphine, a textile artist who transforms your clothes into canvases you can wear, using fabric paint and Japanese textiles.
My work is for people who want truly unique garments, far from industrial customization and standardized prints.
My world blends workwear influences, graphic touches, and Japanese inspirations, with a very intuitive approach to drawing and color. Each piece is hand-painted, which means no two garments are ever the same.

MY VISION OF PAINTING ON GARMENTS
For me, clothing becomes a medium for artistic expression as much as an everyday object. Fabric painting makes it possible to tell a story directly on the material: a landscape, a symbol, a graphic detail, or a pattern that reflects who you are.
I mainly work on sturdy jackets and shirts, chosen for their structure, durability, and ability to age beautifully with the paint. The idea is not to “decorate” at all costs, but to create a balance between the cut of the garment, its original color, and the painted design.
MY STUDIO
My studio is a research space for color, textures, and patterns… you will find jackets in the middle of transformation, pattern tests, fabrics, experiments, and color mixes.
Each project goes through several stages: preparing the base, sketching, more detailed drawings for certain elements, paint and/or fabric work, fixing, then finishing touches and care instructions. This manual, step-by-step process makes it possible to control every detail and keep a strong link between the original idea and the final result.
HOW A COMMISSION WORKS
When you contact me for a painted piece, we start by defining together :
-
the textile base, a garment you already own or a piece we select together
-
the graphic universe, the design and/or fabrics
-
the area to work on, the full back, a sleeve, a detail on the front, etc.
After this stage, I suggest one or several sketches and a color palette, which we approve together before starting. I then create a layout of the elements on the garment, shapes and placements, which we validate together again. The work is then carried out entirely by hand in the studio, with drying and fixing times adapted to ensure long-lasting hold.
COMMITMENTS
My approach to fabric painting is based on a few simple commitments:
-
working in small quantities and to order, to give each piece the time it needs and avoid mass production.
-
valuing what already exists: encouraging upcycling and transforming garments already in your wardrobe whenever possibly
-
using textile-appropriate paints, durable and properly fixed, while clearly stating care instructions.
Whether you want to give a second life to a jacket you love or create a piece that truly represents you, the studio is dedicated to this meeting point between your story and my work with fabric painting.
